This lake, found about 6km southeast of Chiang Rai centre, is as much about the restaurant and resort facilities as it is a fishing park. It has a friendly family run atmosphere, good food, low cost fishing, and also has rods for hire and bait available for purchase. This makes a good base for a family get-away; part fishing, part sight-seeing and relaxing.
Many consider this to be the best of the Chiang Rai fishing parks. It is a nice place to fish with some decent sized fish available for the catching. It is apparently stocked with 400 Striped Catfish and about 20 giant mekongs, amongst others. There are also rumoured to be some giant Pacu, for those who can catch them.
One two and three bedroomed bungalows are available for reasonable prices. See their website for details (here).
